Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Madison, Onondaga, and Southern Oneida Counties. * WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow begins early this morning, becoming heavier through the day and into the evening. Lake effect snow then continues overnight into Friday morning. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour will be possible in the heaviest lake effect snow bands. Blowing and drifting snow will create periods of reduced visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
