...EXTREME HEAT WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values potentially exceeding 105 degrees. * WHERE...All of southern New England except the east slopes of the Berkshires and the Cape and Islands. * WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An extended period of extreme heat and humidity is on tap for the Sunday through Tuesday time frame. The worst of the heat and humidity will be Monday and Tuesday when some locations may see Heat Index Values approach 110 degrees. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
