Another foot or two and some homes would have been flooded along this lane. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 16.7 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:45 PM EDT Saturday was 16.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.8 feet just after midnight tonight. ...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY FRIDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Lafayette. * WHEN...Until early Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Flood waters cover SR 225 from just north of Stair Road to just south of the bridge over the Wabash River. Tippecanoe CR 950 W south of CR 75 S is completely flooded from the Wabash Bottoms Janssen Tract area to Warren CR 350 N in the Black Rock Preserve Area. Four residences on high ground along CR 950 W cannot access CR 950 W by land vehicles. Barton Beach Rd closed. Local roads in the Granville Bridge area and homes near N 9th St also affected. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 18.9 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:30 PM EDT Saturday was 18.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.0 feet just after midnight tonight. In east central Indiana, Delaware, Henry and Randolph. In north central Indiana, Carroll. In west central Indiana, Clay, Fountain, Montgomery, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Tippecanoe, Vermillion, Vigo and Warren. * WHEN...Through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional rainfall is expected early tomorrow morning which could lead to additional flooding.
