* At 237 PM EST, gusty showers were located along a line extending
from 9 nm north of Amelia City to 32 nm west of Talbot Island,
moving east at 50 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
Atlantic Beach, High Point, Mayport, Nassau Sound Approach Buoy 6a,
Amelia City, Buoy Cdh, Jacksonville Beach, Talbot Island, Buoy Kby,
Saint Johns Lighted Buoy, Dungeness, Saint Marys Entrance Buoy 16,
Cumberland Island, Whittakers Snapper Hole Reef, and Palm Valley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. If your vessel is
caught offshore, immediately secure for heavy weather. Ensure all
crew members are wearing USCG approved Type I life jackets and
nonessential crew are below decks. Deploy jack lines and harnesses if
available. Check life saving equipment, including batteries on
handheld radios, for readiness.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
from shore into deeper water.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
