Eastern Rutherford County in western North Carolina... * WHEN...Until 400 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At midnight EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Shelby, Polkville, Ellenboro, Lattimore, Mooresboro and Kingstown. - Locations along Johnnie Bridges Road, Hugh Harrell Road, Lattimore Road, West Zion Church Road, and Washburn Road could see nuisance to minor flooding develop. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
