At 222 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts
was located near Wanakah, or 22 nm northeast of Dunkirk, moving
northeast at 15 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Small Boat Harbor, Lake Erie Beach, Wanakah, Woodlawn Beach, Erie
Basin Marina, Sturgeon Point, Athol Springs, Bayview, and Sunset Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
