The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has
issued the following...

WHAT...Action Day for Multiple Pollutants.

WHERE...Douglas, Jefferson, Denver, western Arapahoe, western
Adams, Broomfield, Boulder, Larimer, and Weld Counties

WHEN...400 PM Wednesday August 05 to 400 PM Thursday August 06

IMPACTS...Action Day for Multiple Pollutants is now in effect for
the Front Range Urban Corridor.  Ozone is expected to be in the
Moderate to Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range on Wednesday and
Thursday. The highest concentrations of ozone are most likely in
the southern and western portions of the Denver Metro area. Fine
particulate concentrations are expected to be in the Moderate
category on Wednesday, and in the Moderate to Unhealthy for
Sensitive Groups range on Thursday.   For Colorado air quality
conditions, forecasts, and advisories, visit:

possible, please help us reduce ozone pollution by limiting
driving gas and diesel-powered vehicles until at least 4 p.m.
Thursday, August 6, 2026. Colorado is also addressing ozone

HEALTH INFORMATION...Increasing likelihood of respiratory symptoms
in sensitive individuals, aggravation of heart or lung disease and
premature mortality in people with cardiopulmonary disease and
older adults. People with heart or lung disease, older adults, and
children should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion.

...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM MDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Hot temperatures ranging from 98 to 101 degrees.

* WHERE...Denver metro, western suburbs of Denver, and portions of
the Urban Corridor including Boulder.

* WHEN...11 AM to 8 PM Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illness.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
