This will pose a moderate to major risk of heat-related illness. * WHERE...Portions of North and North Central Idaho and Central, East Central, North Central, Northeast, and Southeast Washington. * WHEN...Until 9 PM PDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. &&

The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 11 AM to 11 PM PDT Friday. * Affected Area: Waterville Plateau (Zone 706). * Winds: Friday afternoon winds - Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Saturday afternoon winds - Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * Relative Humidities: 12 to 22 percent. * Impacts: Gusty winds and low humidity Friday and Saturday afternoon may lead to rapid fire spread with any new or ongoing fires. Air Quality Alert

An Air Quality Alert has been issued by the following agencies: Washington Department of Ecology Colville Confederated Tribes Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency An Air Quality Alert has been issued for Chelan, Douglas, Garfield, and Asotin Counties and continues for Spokane, Whitman, Adams, Ferry, Lincoln, Okanogan, Grant, Adams, Whitman, Pend Oreille, and Stevens Counties, through Friday, July 24th at 11 AM, due to current and expected wildfire smoke from regional fires. Particulate matter (PM2.5) levels are expected to range in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups and Unhealthy categories. In Eastern Okanogan County near active wildfires, air quality may reach Very Unhealthy to Hazardous levels. When air quality is Unhealthy, everyone should reduce exposure. Limit time outside, avoid strenuous activity, and follow tips for cleaner indoor air.
