Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD... * Until 1000 PM EDT. * At 831 PM EDT, a gust front associated with a line of strong thunderstorms was located along a line extending from 6 nm west of Mason Neck State Park to 6 nm northwest of Leesylvania State Park to 10 nm northwest of Quantico, moving southeast at 15 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel. * Locations impacted include... Tidal Potomac from Key Bridge to Indian Head MD... * Until 900 PM EDT. * At 732 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 26 nm northwest of Tidal Basin to 21 nm west of Key Bridge to 21 nm west of Alexandria to 22 nm northwest of Mason Neck State Park, moving east at 35 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel. * Locations impacted include...
