Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD...

* Until 1000 PM EDT.

* At 831 PM EDT, a gust front associated with a line of strong
thunderstorms was located along a line extending from 6 nm west of
Mason Neck State Park to 6 nm northwest of Leesylvania State Park
to 10 nm northwest of Quantico, moving southeast at 15 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by
suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel.

* Locations impacted include...
Potomac Creek, Widewater, Maryland Point, Nanjemoy Creek, Port
Tobacco River, Leesylvania State Park, Smallwood State Park,
Quantico, Mathias Point, U.S. 301 Nice Memorial Bridge, Popes
Creek, Brent Point, and Fairview Beach.

* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 732 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 26 nm northwest of Tidal Basin to 21 nm west of Key
Bridge to 21 nm west of Alexandria to 22 nm northwest of Mason Neck
State Park, moving east at 35 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by
suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel.

Fort Washington, Tidal Basin, Reagan National Airport, Gunston
Hall, Mason Neck State Park, Woodrow Wilson Bridge, Indian Head,

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM EDT MONDAY...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...The District of Columbia, portions of Maryland, including
the following areas, Central and Southeast Montgomery, Charles and
Prince Georges, and Virginia, including the following areas,
Arlington/Falls Church/Alexandria, Central and Southeast Prince
William/Manassas/Manassas Park, Eastern Loudoun, Fairfax, King
George, Northwest Prince William, Spotsylvania and Stafford.

* WHEN...Until 3 AM EDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to
move through the Watch area this evening through the first
half of the night. A widespread 1 to 2 inches of rain is
expected, with localized totals of 2 to 4 inches where
training or backbuilding occurs. Some instances of flooding
are expected to occur, especially in urban areas that receive
multiple rounds of storms.
