...BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM THIS MORNING TO 3 PM CST
THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations up
to two inches. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph.

* WHERE...Day, Marshall, and Roberts Counties.

* WHEN...From 6 AM this morning to 3 PM CST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4
mile due to falling snow. Whiteout conditions are expected and
will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening.
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could
impact the Thursday morning commute. Strong winds could cause tree
damage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wet roadways and a flash freeze, combined
with strong winds, will make for slick road conditions and
hazardous travel, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter
storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains,
booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing.
Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help
you survive in case you become stranded.

expected.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, Traverse County. In South Dakota, Clark,
Day, Marshall, and Roberts Counties.

* WHEN...From 4 AM early this morning to 6 PM CST this evening.

* IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property and
cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for
high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around
or damaged by the wind.
