...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the following counties, Lexington and Richland. * WHEN...Until 300 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1255 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Columbia, West Columbia, Cayce, Forest Acres, Springdale, Dentsville, St. Andrews, Oak Grove, Pine Ridge, Arcadia Lakes, Five Points, SC State Fair Grounds, West Columbia Riverwalk, Riverbanks Zoo, Woodfield, Columbia International University, SC State Farmer's Market, Fort Jackson, Columbia Metro Airport and Rosewood. - This includes the following highways... Interstate 126 between mile markers 0 and 3. Interstate 26 between mile markers 108 and 118. Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 65 and 77.
