AFTERNOON FOR NORTHWESTERN NORTHUMBERLAND, NORTH CENTRAL UNION, EAST
CENTRAL CLINTON, SOUTHEASTERN LYCOMING AND SOUTHWESTERN SULLIVAN
COUNTIES...

At 236 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches
of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches
are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Williamsport, Montoursville, Jersey Shore, Muncy, Hughesville,
Montgomery, Duboistown, Allenwood, Delaware Run, Loyalsockville,
Elimsport, Collomsville, Lairdsville, South Williamsport, Garden
View, Picture Rocks, Oval, Williamsport Airport and Little League
World Series Complex.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Most of Central Pennsylvania.

* WHEN...From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Very heavy rainfall is expected today from numerous, slow-
moving thunderstorms. The rain and already wet ground in many
locations will cause creeks and streams to flood quickly.
