Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Many area rivers and streams are rising this morning, and slow responding rivers could see rises into Saturday afternoon. Also expect widespread low land flooding and numerous flooded rural roads from the Foss gauging station downstream to Nehalem. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 PM PST Thursday the stage was 16.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 13.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:15 PM PST Thursday was 16.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to crest around 19.1 feet late this evening. Flooding of the Wilson River RV park east of Tillamook is likely. Hwy 101 through the northern portion of Tillamook has historically been closed at this and higher stages. The worst of the flooding can be expected during high tides. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM PST Thursday the stage was 16.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:30 PM PST Thursday was 16.9 feet. - Forecast...The river will crest around 18.1 feet tonight. The highest threat for minor flooding is during the high tides from 11 AM to 1 PM PST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding and erosion, up to one foot above ground level, during high tides is expected in the low lying areas near bays, sloughs, and the lower reaches of the coastal rivers. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The tidal overflow concerns are due to the combination of high river levels and high tides. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Coastal Flood Advisory means that tidal overflow flooding is expected. Coastal residents in the warned area should be alert for rising water, and take appropriate action to protect life and property. &&
