...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall has occurred. * WHERE...A portion of northwest Ohio, including the following county, Ottawa. * WHEN...Until 1030 PM EDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations has occurred. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 427 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain fell earlier today. Flooding is ongoing in the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Port Clinton, Oak Harbor, and Catawba Island. - Portions of Route 2 remain closed along with other roads. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Head all road closures. &&

Swimmers should not enter the water. Currents can carry swimmers away from shore through a sand bar and along structures extending out into the lake. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
