* WHAT...For the Gale Warning, west winds to 35 knots with gusts
up to 40 knots. For the Low Water Advisory, abnormally low water
levels.

* WHERE...The nearshore waters of Lake Erie from Maumee Bay to
Vermilion OH, and the open waters of Lake Erie from Maumee Bay
to Vermilion OH.

* WHEN...For the Gale Warning, until 7 PM EST this evening. For
the Low Water Advisory, until 10 PM EST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Below normal
water levels will result in hazardous navigating conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...At 345 PM, the water level at Toledo was 24
inches below low water datum. The critical mark for safe
navigation is currently 9 inches below the low water datum. The
water level is expected to begin rising this evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.

Mariners should navigate shallow waters with extreme caution due
to below normal water levels.

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 15 to 20 below expected.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest Ohio.

* WHEN...Until noon EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 20 degrees below zero
could result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not
taken.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
