For the Low Water Advisory, abnormally low water levels expected. For the Gale Warning, west gales to 35 knots with gusts up to 40 knots and waves 3 to 6 feet expected. * WHERE...The nearshore waters of Lake Erie from The Islands to Vermilion OH. * WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 8 AM EDT Wednesday. For the Low Water Advisory, from 10 PM this evening to 11 PM EDT Wednesday. For the Gale Warning, from 8 AM to 11 PM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Below normal water levels will result in hazardous navigating conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong west to southwest winds will cause water levels to fall below the critical mark of one inch below low water datum to around 12 inches below low water datum on Wednesday afternoon. Water levels will return to above the critical mark on Wednesday night. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for hazardous conditions. Mariners should navigate shallow waters with extreme caution due to below normal water levels. &&
