The highest amounts of 6 to 18 inches are expected west of Route 26, with locally around 20 inches in the far NW corner of Oneida county. Much lower amounts of 3 to 6 inches are expected east of Route 26 toward the Boonville, Forestport and Woodgate areas. * WHERE...Northern Oneida County. * WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow bands will move back and forth across the area, with uncertainty in snowfall totals.
