At 757 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 miles southwest of Stumpy Point to near Fairfield, moving southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Killkenny, Gum Neck, Kilkenny, Fairfield, New Holland, Nebraska, Lake Landing, Middletown, Fort Landing, Phelps Lake, Lake Mattamuskeet, Frying Pan Landing, Pungo Lake, and Alligator Lake. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area.
