Special Weather Statement
Issued: 2:23 AM Jan. 26, 2026 – National Weather Service
...Slick Conditions Possible Tonight into Early Monday...

Light snow flurries or isolated snow showers will be possible as
moisture availability and temperatures decrease across the area
tonight. While the precipitation is expected to be very light,
portions of southwest Virginia, northeast Tennessee, and higher
terrain of the Tennessee mountains may pick up a dusting to a few
tenths of an inch of snow accumulation. In addition, any residual
water on roadways may freeze and form black ice as temperatures
plummet into the teens.

Be prepared for slick spots on roadways overnight into Monday
morning, especially untreated secondary roadways. The morning
commute could be affected. Use caution if you will be driving.
