...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL THURSDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Pearl River near Bogalusa.

* WHEN...Until Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Woodlands and crop acreage along the river
are flooded. The Bogue Chitto Wildlife Management area is
inundated with water in recreational camps and over access roads.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 20.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 6:00 PM CDT Monday was 20.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Thursday afternoon and continue falling to 16.6 feet
Thursday, May 02.
- Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
20.1 feet on 05/24/1953.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Pearl River near Pearl River.

* WHEN...Until early Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 15.5 feet, Secondary roads to the river and
throughout Honey Island Swamp are inundated. Property in the
vicinity of the gage is flooded threatening about 20 homes along
the left bank. The Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge will be
closed to hunting at the 15.5 foot stage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 15.9 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:00 PM CDT Monday was 15.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Saturday morning and continue falling to 13.1 feet Thursday,
May 02.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
