...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TUESDAY TO MIDNIGHT CST WEDNESDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 9 inches for Carlton and St. Louis counties, and between 6 and 11 inches for Lake and Cook counties. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Carlton, St. Louis, Cook and Lake Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Grand Portage Reservation, the Fond du Lac Band and the Bois Forte Band, Lake Vermilion and, Nett Lake areas. Other locations including Voyageurs National Park. The entire Boundary Waters is also included. * WHEN...From noon Tuesday to midnight CST Wednesday Night. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A corridor of locally higher snowfall amounts are possible somewhere in the warning area. Snow totals will be less near Lake Superior. Blustery winds gusting up to 35 mph may result in areas of blowing and drifting snow. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
