...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST TODAY... * WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 40 degrees below zero. * WHERE...In Minnesota, Crow Wing, Aitkin, Pine, Cass, Carlton and South St. Louis, Cook and Lake Counties. In Wisconsin, Price, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Sawyer, and Washburn Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band, the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, the Fond du Lac Band, the Bad River Reservation, the Red Cliff Band, the Grand Portage Reservation, the St. Croix Band in Burnett County and the Mille Lacs Band, Big Sandy Lake, East Lake, Hinckley and, Lena Lake areas. Other locations including Madeline Island and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. This also includes the Boundary Waters eastern and central area. * WHEN...Until noon CST today. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 40 degrees below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
