...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST THURSDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches except between 11 and 15 inches for the higher terrain of the North Shore. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...Central St. Louis County. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Bois Forte Band, Lake Vermilion area. * WHEN...Until noon CST Thursday. * IMPACTS...The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Call 511 or visit www.511mn.org for Minnesota road information.
