EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 105
degrees.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, Crow Wing, Aitkin, Pine, Cass, and South
Itasca Counties. In Wisconsin, Price, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett,
Douglas, Iron, Sawyer, and Washburn Counties. This includes the
Tribal Lands of the Bad River Reservation, the Red Cliff Band, the
Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, the northwestern area of the Lac
du Flambeau Band, the St. Croix Band in Burnett County and the
Mille Lacs Band, Big Sandy Lake, East Lake, Hinckley and, Lena
Lake areas. Other locations including Madeline Island and the
Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
