Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 3:21 PM Dec. 26, 2025 – National Weather Service
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Freezing rain. Total ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch are possible. * WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southwest, and west central Michigan. * WHEN...Until 4 PM EST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Difficult travel conditions are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The areas most impacted by freezing rain thus far have been across Central Lower Michigan where traffic speeds have been slowed due to ice accumulation on road surfaces. We are also seeing quite a few power outages across Central Lower Michigan as of 10 AM. In the hardest hit areas, near and north of M-46 we have also heard of downed power lines. Freezing rain will remain a possibility into the midday hours, but we should see a marked decrease in precipitation as we head through the early afternoon. Portions of the Winter Weather Advisory may be able to be cleared early, but there are locations that may see icy roads well into the afternoon, namely Osceola, Clare, Mecosta and Isabella Counties where temperatures may not rise above freezing. Stay tuned to later updates on this winter weather situation. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for possible power outages. &&
