...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Snow and blowing snow. Additional snow accumulations 1 to 2 inches and locally up to 3 inches. Storm total snow amounts between 4 and 8 inches with higher drifts. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph. * WHERE...Barry, Kalamazoo, Lake, and Newaygo Counties. * WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will affect the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind chills below zero and as low as -10 to -15 degrees through Tuesday morning may lead to frostbite if precautions are not taken. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can also vary greatly.
