At 511 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from near Quincy to near Barnstable,
moving northeast at 45 knots.

Eastern Point Ma, The Coastal Waters East Of Cape Ann, Boston Light,
Mass Bay Buoy 44029, Stellwagen Bank, Broad Sound, The Coastal Waters
East Of Boston Harbor, Cape Cod Bay, Minot Light, Barnstable Harbor,
Ocean Bluff-Brant Rock, Green Harbor, Manomet Point, Boston Harbor,
The East End Of Cape Cod Canal, Boston Buoy 44013, Ipswich Bay, Race
Point, Thatcher Island, and Plymouth Light.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Expect gusty winds to around 30 knots...briefly rough seas and
lightning strikes. Consider heading for safe harbor until these
storms pass.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible and keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.

WILL RESULT IN POOR DRAINAGE STREET FLOODING DURING THE
EVENING COMMUTE ACROSS EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS INCLUDING THE BOSTON
METROPOLITAN AREA...

At 508 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of showers and
embedded thunderstorms with torrential rainfall. A quick 1 to 2
inches of rain may fall across this region with 90 minutes. This
will result in areas of poor drainage street flooding during
the evening commute. Motorists are urged to drive with extra caution
and allow extra time to reach their destinations.

HAZARD...Poor drainage street flooding during the evening commute
across eastern Massachusetts including the Boston
metropolitan area.

SOURCE...Radar indicated showers and a few embedded thunderstorms
with torrential rainfall.


IMPACT...Water on roads that flood easily.
