...Area of Fog, Locally Dense in the Valleys, This Morning... Mostly clear skies, light winds, and ample low-level moisture are helping areas of valley fog to develop and become dense this morning. Visibilities will be below a quarter of a mile at times in the thickest of the fog. Be sure to slow down and use your low beam headlights when you encounter any fog. Look for visibilities to start improving after 8 AM.

...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions are expected for several consecutive days with afternoon heat index values near or exceeding 105 degrees and only limited relief at night. * WHERE...Portions of east central, northeast, south central, and southeast Kentucky. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An extended period of hot and humid conditions is anticipated through at least Friday - with the most oppressive conditions expected on Thursday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. &&
