...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central Indiana, including the following counties, Hamilton, Madison and Tipton. * WHEN...Until 200 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1123 PM EDT, gauge reports indicated heavy rain. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 1.5 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Elwood, Tipton, Cicero, Arcadia and Atlanta. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. River gauge reports along Pipe and Big Duck Creeks report minor flooding. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
