...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused from excessive rainfall. This advisory
replaces the previously issued advisories.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following
counties, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will.

* WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
Underpasses and low spots may remain flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 119 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Between 2 and 4
inches of rain have fallen.
- The heaviest rainfall has already fallen, but an additional
rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible over the area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chicago, Aurora, Naperville, Elgin, Cicero, Arlington
Heights, Evanston, Schaumburg, Bolingbrook, Skokie, Des
Plaines, Berwyn, Mount Prospect, Wheaton, Hoffman Estates,
Oak Park, Downers Grove, Glenview, Elmhurst and Lombard.

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following
counties, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will.

* WHEN...Until 200 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be
flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1051 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Up to 2 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chicago, Aurora, Naperville, Cicero, Bolingbrook, Berwyn, Oak
Park, Downers Grove, Romeoville, Plainfield, Woodridge,
Oswego, Midway Airport, Austin, South Lawndale, West Town,
Bridgeport, Lincoln Park, Lake View and Chicago Loop.
