Salem Lakes area along Riverside Drive and Shorewood Drive. Hoosier
Creek Rd floods.

- At 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 11.9 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday was 12.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
Friday morning and continue falling to 8.8 feet Wednesday,
September 30.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.7

Michigan beaches. Waves 3 to 5 ft expected.

* WHERE...Lake County IL.

* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Swimming conditions will be life threatening,
especially for inexperienced swimmers.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain out of the water to avoid dangerous swimming conditions
and do not venture out onto piers, jetties, breakwalls, or other
shoreline structures.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...Des Plaines River from IL/WI state line downstream to US-41
in Gurnee, including the Russell gauge.

* WHEN...Until Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Residential structures threatened along
Russell Road between the river and Kilbourne Road. Industrial
parking lots threatened along Kilbourne Road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 9.3 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 9.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below moderate flood
stage by around midday Thursday. The river is then expected to
fall below flood stage early next week.
