...DENSE FOG ALONG THE LAKE MICHIGAN SHORELINE...

Webcams, satellite data, and surface observations indicate that
dense fog has moved onshore from Lake Michigan. The lowest
visibility in the fog ranges from one half to one quarter of a
mile roughly along and east of Interstate 94. The fog is currently
not expected to move any further inland.

Motorists near and east of Interstate 94 are encouraged to travel
at safe speeds and use low beam headlines. Anyone traveling from
west to east across the area should also be prepared for lowering
visibility.

Fog is expected to erode toward sunrise.

* WHERE...Winthrop Harbor to Calumet Harbor IL.

* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 7 AM CDT Wednesday.
For the Small Craft Advisory, from 2 PM to 9 PM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Low
visibility will make navigation difficult.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.

If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog
signals. Make sure all running lights are on. Remember to use
