For the Small Craft Advisory, northwest winds to 30 kt and significant waves to 6 ft occasionally to 8 ft. * WHERE...Wilmette Harbor to Northerly Island, IL. * WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 10 PM CDT this evening. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 10 AM Wednesday to 10 AM CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Low visibility will make navigation difficult. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions. If you must navigate, proceed with caution. ...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM EARLY THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following areas, Central Cook, DuPage, Eastern Will, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, La Salle, Northern Cook, Northern Will, Southern Cook and Southern Will and northwest Indiana, including the following areas, Lake IN and Porter. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms with rainfall rates up to 1 to 2 inches per hour will be possible from late this afternoon until late this evening.
