...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast, northwest, and west central Georgia, including the following areas, in north central Georgia, Barrow, Clayton, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Gwinnett, Henry, Newton, Rockdale, South Fulton and Walton. In northeast Georgia, Banks and Jackson. In northwest Georgia, Carroll. In west central Georgia, Coweta, Heard, Meriwether, Pike, Spalding and Troup. * WHEN...Through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Several waves of precipitation will move through the area by Thursday morning. Total rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are expected with locally higher amounts of up to 6 inches possible.
