For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold temperatures of 20 to 25 expected. * WHERE...Portions of the Big Bend and Panhandle of Florida. * WHEN...For the Freeze Warning, until 9 AM EST /8 AM CST/ Wednesday. For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 1 AM EST /midnight CST/ to 9 AM EST /8 AM CST/ Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing. &&
