...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central and northeast Colorado, including the
following areas: the southern Front Range Foothills, Palmer Divide
area, I-25 corridor, and all of our eastern plains counties.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM MDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Additional thunderstorms and heavy rainfall this afternoon,
combined with the heavy rainfall from the past 3 days, will bring
a threat for flash flooding this afternoon and evening. Stronger
storms will be capable of producing 1 to 2 inches of rain in 30
minutes, with isolated areas receiving storm totals of 2 to 4
inches.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
