Warm overnight lows in the mid 70s to lower 80s from Friday until Sunday morning. * WHERE...Bakersfield, Buena Vista, Coalinga - Avenal, Fresno-Clovis, South End San Joaquin Valley, West Side Mountains South of 198, and West Side Mountains north of 198. * WHEN...From 11 AM Friday to 8 AM PDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Stay cool, stay hydrated, stay informed. ...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM WEDNESDAY TO 9 PM PDT SATURDAY FOR LOW HUMIDITY AND LOCALLY BREEZY WINDS FOR THE FRAZIER PARK AND GRAPEVINE AREAS IN KERN COUNTY... The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 9 AM Wednesday to 9 PM PDT Saturday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 597 Fort Tejon, including the Frazier Park and Grapevine areas. * WIND...Southerly winds 10-15 mph with gusts 25 to 30 mph possible at times. * HUMIDITY...Minimum values around 8 to 15 percent with the lowest values expected Wednesday and Thursday. * THUNDERSTORMS...Isolated thunderstorms may develop on Friday until Sunday and produce gusty and erratic outflow winds. Isolated dry lightning is also possible. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly.
