...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 AM PST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest California, including the following
counties, western Los Angeles and eastern Ventura Counties.

* WHEN...Until 130 AM PST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1130 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rainfall
exiting the advisory area currently. Rainfall rates between
0.25 and 0.50 inch per hour with local rates to 0.75 inch per
hour have been observed. Minor flooding is ongoing in the
advisory area.
- Creeks, streams, and dry washes may be flowing. Roadway
flooding and ponding on pavement surfaces will create
hazardous driving conditions.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, eMalibu, Agoura Hills, Woodland
Hills, Chatsworth, Moorpark, Santa Paula, Newbury Park,
Westlake Village,  Malibu Creek State Park, Point Dume, Point
Mugu, Calabasas, and Canoga Park.
- Minor debris flow may be occurring in and around the recent
burn scars such as the Franklin and Palisades burn scars.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1119 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain falling
across the advisory area. Rainfall rates between 0.25 and
0.50 inch per hour with local rates up to around 0.75 inch
per hour have been observed with this line. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
- Law enforcement and public reports indicates a large amount
of roadway flooding on Interstate 5 between Santa Clarita and
the Kern County line.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Santa Clarita, Granada Hills, Sylmar, Lake Piru, Castaic
Lake, Piru, Pyramid Lake, Interstate 5 over the Grapevine,
and Highway 138 between Quail Lake and the Canyon and King
burn scars.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1107 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rainfall
falling across eastern Ventura County and moving into west
central Los Angeles County. Rainfall rates with this lines
are ranging between 0.25 inch and 0.50 inch per hours with
local rates up to around 0.75 inch per hour. Overflowing poor
drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory
area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Santa Monica, Woodland Hills, Northridge, Chatsworth, Sylmar,
Reseda, Encino, Van Nuys, Burbank, Glendale, Downtown Los
Angeles, North Hollywood, Pasadena, Alhambra, and the
Palisades and Eaton Burn Scars.
