...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM PDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest California, including the following
county, Ventura.

* WHEN...Until 800 AM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Minor rock slides and mud slides will be possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 449 AM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Fillmore, Ojai, Santa Paula, Rose Valley, Lockwood Valley, La
Conchita, Topatopa Peak, Highway 33 between Wheeler Springs
and Rose Valley Road, Meiners Oaks, Reyes Peak, Alamo
Mountain, Lake Casitas, Piru, Highway 33 from Lockwood Valley
Road to the Santa Barbara County line and Lake Piru.

offshore including San Nicolas and Santa Barbara Islands...
Waters from Pt. Sal to Santa Cruz Island CA and westward 60 nm
including San Miguel and Santa Rosa Islands...

* Until 545 AM PDT.

* At 419 AM PDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Goleta
Point to near West Point Santa Cruz Island, moving northeast at 20
knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
