PM PST FRIDAY ABOVE 9000 FEET...

* WHAT...Heavy wet snow above 9000 feet. Snow accumulations up to 9
to 12 inches above 9000 feet and up to 4 inches just below 9000
feet. Locally higher accumulations near Mt Lyell may exceed 2
feet. Winds gusting as high as 70 mph along the highest peaks and
40 to 50 mph below 8000 feet.

* WHERE...Mono County.

* WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 4 PM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.
Strong winds could cause damage to trees and power lines.
