Snow accumulation of 8 to 16 inches with 1 to 2 feet along the Sierra crest. 1 to 4 inches of snow accumulation for communities along Highway 395. Ridge winds gusting up to 70 mph. * WHERE...Mono County. * WHEN...Until 11 AM PDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult, especially through mountain passes such as Sonora and Tioga passes. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heaviest snowfall is expected Tuesday morning through late afternoon with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour possible at times.
