...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM MST THIS EVENING FOR YAVAPAI COUNTY... At 856 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the warned area, near Chasm Creek, south of Camp Verde. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain fell. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin as runoff flows down Chasm Creek. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Cedar Bench Wilderness. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Bull Run Creek, Verde River, Gap Creek, Little Ash Creek and Chasm Creek. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become muddy and impassable.
