...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM AKDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Water levels as high as 1.0 to 2.0 feet above the normal highest tide line, with highest water levels in Kwigillingok and Kongiganak. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta Coast. * WHEN...Until 3 PM Friday. * IMPACTS...Nuisance flooding of low lying areas. Coastal erosion is possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong south winds will push water toward the coast, resulting in elevated water levels and high surf. Water levels will continue to trend lower starting with the high tide this morning, which will occur between 8 AM and 11 AM. Thereafter, water levels further decrease to around Mean High High Water (MHHW), and then dip again below MHHW through Saturday afternoon, alleviating coastal concerns.
