...NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS TODAY FOR NORTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA... Dry conditions will lead to near critical fire weather conditions today. Minimum relative humidity values of 20 to 25 percent are expected. In addition a cold front is moving through the area this morning with south winds shifting to the north at 10 to 25 mph. ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR WEST CENTRAL AND NORTHWEST MINNESOTA AS WELL AS EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA... * AFFECTED AREA...In Minnesota, West Polk, Norman, Clay, West Marshall, Pennington, Red Lake, East Polk, North Clearwater, South Beltrami, Mahnomen, South Clearwater, Hubbard, West Becker, East Becker, Wilkin, West Otter Tail, East Otter Tail, Wadena and Grant. In North Dakota, Towner, Cavalier, Pembina, Benson, Ramsey, Eastern Walsh, Eddy, Nelson, Grand Forks, Griggs, Steele, Traill, Barnes, Cass, Ransom, Sargent, Richland and Western Walsh. * WINDS...South 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 18 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control. Outdoor burning is not recommended. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Southerly winds will continue to increase over the weekend, with extremely warm temperatures arriving by Sunday.
