* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, northeast, and northern Maryland,
including the following areas, in central Maryland, Anne Arundel.
In northeast Maryland, Cecil. In northern Maryland, Northern
Baltimore, Northwest Harford, Southeast Harford and Southern
Baltimore.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Thunderstorms will develop into an increasingly humid airmass
this evening. This, combined with recent rainfall, may result
in flash flooding, particularly along small streams and in
urban areas. Localized totals of 2 to 4 inches of rain are
possible.

* WHAT...Heat index values of 105 to 109.

* WHERE...Washington DC, and portions of central, northeast,
northern, and southern Maryland, and central, northern, and
northwest Virginia.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.

...AIR QUALITY ALERT IS IN EFFECT FOR SUNDAY JULY 5 2026...

The Maryland Department of the Environment has issued a Code
ORANGE Air Quality Alert Sunday for
the Baltimore City Metro and Annapolis region.

A Code Orange Air Quality Alert means that air pollution
concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for
sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, people
suffering from asthma, heart disease or other lung diseases and
the elderly. The effects of air pollution can be minimized by
avoiding strenuous activity or exercise outdoors.
