For the Gale Warning, west gales to 45 kt with occasional storm force gusts to around 50 kt and significant waves to 9 ft occasionally to 12 ft expected. * WHERE...Winthrop Harbor to Calumet Harbor IL. * WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 3 PM CST this afternoon. For the Gale Warning, from 5 PM this afternoon to 6 PM CST Monday. * IMPACTS...Low visibility will make navigation difficult. Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for hazardous conditions.
