Squalls with wind gusts up to 35 knots, hail of 1 to 2 centimetres and poor to very poor visibility in showers heavy at times are expected or occurring in the area.

An area of thunderstorms located east of Burlington is moving east at 20 knots.

Large hail can damage vessels and cause injury. Poor to very poor visibility may contribute to voyage delays and make marine navigation hazardous.

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

Wind gusts near 100 km/h.
Toonie sized hail.
Heavy rain in excess of 60 mm.

Additional Information:
The highest rainfall amounts are expected for areas that receive multiple thunderstorms.

Local utility outages are possible. Fast-moving and rapidly rising water can sweep vehicles away and damage infrastructure.
