Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce tornadoes. Strong winds, large hail and heavy rain are also possible.

Severe thunderstorms have developed ahead of a low pressure system in southern Saskatchewan. They are expected to track northeast throughout the evening. They are expected to weaken and track out of the area later this evening. These severe thunderstorms have the potential to produce tornadoes, in addition to  severe hail, wind and rain.

Significant damage or destruction to infrastructure, homes and the natural environment is possible.

Tornado watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes.
