HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING may redevelop for areas from about Townsville to north of Innisfail from later today, most likely this evening and overnight. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 100 to 180 mm are likely, with isolated falls in excess of 220 mm possible.
Locally intense rainfall leading to dangerous and potentially life-threatening flash flooding is considered less likely than previous days, but can't be ruled out completely about the northeast tropical coast, mainly during the early morning.
