...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following counties,
Cook, Grundy, Kankakee, La Salle, Livingston and Will and
northwest Indiana, including the following county, Lake IN.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 609 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicate a swath of 1 to 3 inches of rain fell over the
warned area late last evening, with a localized amounts near
4 inches across parts of central Livingston county. While the
threat for additional heavy rain is ending, standing water on
roads will continue this morning. Additionally, several
creeks and streams, particularly across southern Cook county
are rising into action or minor flood stage.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in
the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chicago, Hammond, Gary, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Calumet
City, Chicago Heights, Roseland, East Chicago, Lansing, Oak
Forest, Harvey, New Lenox, Highland, Blue Island, Munster,
Dolton, Park Forest, Homewood and Matteson.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Illinois River from Heritage Harbor east of Ottawa
downstream to Starved Rock Lock and Dam, including the Ottawa
gauge.

* WHEN...Until early Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 466.5 feet, Low-lying sections of Fox River Park in
Ottawa are inundated including Hudson Street River Walk.  St.
Clair Street is threatened in Ottawa.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 462.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
just after midnight tonight to a crest of 466.1 feet early
Sunday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late
Tuesday evening.
- Flood stage is 463.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Residential structures threatened along
2062nd Road in Wedron. Water overflows low-lying banks in Dayton
and Ottawa.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 12.2 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:45 PM CDT Friday was 12.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.2
feet Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
Monday afternoon.
