This week will feel much more like spring than winter across a huge portion of the country. Temperatures will run well above average from the Plains to the Northeast. Across the South, temperatures will climb into the upper 70s and low 80s. We could see record highs and record warm lows broken all week as the warmth spreads eastward. Even longtime residents of Oswego County, New York, were in awe of the amount of snow that’s pummeled the area in the last week. Front doors vanished behind snowdrifts taller than most people. Shovels were useless, so one resident broke out the heavy machinery to dig out from nearly 5 feet of snowfall.
