Snowy Pileups, Crashes Shut Down Minnesota’s I-94

Multiple pileups, jackknifed semis and crashed cars shut down a portion of westbound Interstate 94 in western Minnesota on Tuesday. Snow and ice made the roadways treacherous. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Minnesota State Patrol troopers responded to 27 crashes — including multiple pileups — 75 vehicles that had run off the road and 13 separate jackknifed semis. One non-life-threatening injury was reported.
